Dennis McKinney was born in Kansas and has resided in Greensburg, Kiowa County for many years. He earned his BA and MA degrees from Wichita State University in political science and public finance and administration. From 1989-1992, McKinney served as a Kiowa County Commissioner; after that, he served in the Kansas House of Representatives, appointed to that post in May, 1992, and was successfully re-elected for nine terms, serving six years as Minority Leader from January 2003 to December 2008....
